Am I a good candidate for clear aligners?

Most mild to moderate orthodontic cases work well with clear aligners. Severe crowding, large gaps, or significant bite issues sometimes need braces or a combination of treatments. Dr. Torres will give you an honest assessment at your free smile exam and recommend the option that fits your case, not just the one you walked in asking about.

How many hours a day do I need to wear them?

Twenty to twenty-two hours a day. That's basically all the time except meals, brushing, and flossing. Compliance is the single biggest factor in how well aligners work. If wearing them that consistently feels unrealistic, braces might be a better fit.

How long does treatment with clear aligners take?

Most cases run 12 to 18 months. Simple cases can finish in 6 to 9 months. More involved cases can stretch to 18 to 24 months. Dr. Torres will give you a personalized timeline (and a 3D preview of the finished result) at your free smile exam.

Does insurance cover clear aligners?

Many dental and orthodontic plans cover clear aligner treatment, sometimes with a separate orthodontic lifetime maximum. We accept Medicaid and most major insurance plans. At your free smile exam, our financial coordinator verifies your benefits and gives you a written estimate before you commit.

What's the difference between Invisalign and Angel Aligners?

Will I need a retainer after treatment?

Yes. After your last aligner, you'll wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their new positions. Without it, teeth tend to drift back over time. We'll fit you for a retainer at the end of treatment and Dr. Torres will explain the wear schedule.
